Biscayne National Park
Treesources has had the distinct pleasure of stewarding all of the trees at Biscayne National Park headquarters in Homestead, Florida.
Overlooking the beautiful Biscayne Bay, the park headquarters has significant south Florida coastal trees on its campus. Buttonwood, Gumbo Limbo, Mahogany, Strangler Fig, Sabal palms, and mangrove fringes make up the tree resources around the Headquarters.
The scope required the use of much of our specialty toolkit including a spider lift, urban forestry truck, and a small boat to navigate the management of the mangroves, while working around the park’s facilities and equipment.
Our priority was storm strengthening of these trees and managing the intersection of the park’s functions with the ongoing growth and health of its tree resources.
